Medical Hydrocolloid

This product is a functional dressing made of medical-grade hydrocolloid materials. Its base material consists of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), pectin, and other hydrocolloid microparticles, combined with a medical pressure-sensitive adhesive matrix, and covered with a polyurethane (PU) semi-permeable membrane. When in contact with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles in the inner layer of the dressing efficiently absorb the liquid and undergo hydration, forming a soft, moist gel layer. This gel layer not only provides an optimal moist healing environment for the wound, promoting epithelial cell regeneration, but also allows for painless and non-invasive removal during dressing changes without damaging newly formed tissue. The outer semi-permeable membrane is waterproof and antibacterial, effectively blocking external contamination while allowing a suitable amount of water vapor to pass through, maintaining the balance of the wound microenvironment. The product is soft and malleable, conforming well to the body contours, with a moderate peel force design that minimizes residue during removal. The surface usually has grid lines for easy clinical cutting and wound size measurement.

Suitable for superficial to moderately exudative wounds with no or mild infection, such as pressure ulcers (stage I-II), lower extremity venous ulcers, superficial burns, donor site wounds, postoperative incisions, skin abrasions, and abrasions; it can also be used as an adjunct treatment for diabetic foot ulcers. It has wide applications in chronic wound care, acute wound management, and prevention of medical device-related pressure injuries.

Not suitable for severely infected wounds, wounds infected with aerobic or anaerobic bacteria, deep sinuses, or exposed bones or tendons; contraindicated for active bleeding or full-thickness burns requiring extremely high ventilation; ineffective for ulcers caused by tuberculosis, syphilis, or fungal infections; contraindicated in wounds with local tissue ischemia or potential necrosis. In wounds with extremely high exudate, maceration may occur after hydrocolloid absorption saturation; use with caution. Contraindicated in rare cases of hypersensitivity to dressing components. Furthermore, infants under 2 years of age and those undergoing treatment for diabetes or circulatory disorders should consult a physician before use.
