This product is a pure medical-grade silicone gel film without backing, with a thickness precisely controlled between 0.2 and 0.5 mm. This thickness of silicone gel combines excellent self-support with the high compliance of its ultra-thin design. It has excellent extensibility and flexibility, easily adhering to uneven surfaces, joints, and other moving areas, achieving a "second skin" feel. The silicone gel layer forms a highly effective occlusive moisturizing layer, continuously replenishing moisture to the skin and effectively softening and smoothing hypertrophic scars. Its moderate adhesion allows for repeated application and reuse, and the adhesion recovers well after washing, making it gentle and non-irritating to the skin.
Applicable Scenarios:
Prevention and adjunctive treatment of various new and old hypertrophic scars and keloids; particularly suitable for scar repair on uneven areas such as the face and joints; can also be used as a contact layer for functional dressings, or as a cushioning pad for precision medical devices requiring buffering and protection with strict thickness requirements.
Not Suitable for:
Unhealed open wounds; the pure silicone gel film may not be adhesive enough for instrument fixation requiring extremely strong initial adhesion; the product easily attracts dust and hair; its thinness limits tensile strength, making it prone to deformation or breakage during stretching.
